Who else is a creature of habit when it comes to their nutrition?

Often we can find ourselves consuming identical meals on a day-to-day basis whether it be due to convenience, taste, or poor culinary skills. However, as the saying goes, “Variety is the spice of life”, particularly when it comes to boosting your overall nutrient status!

Eating from a limited and select group of food sources may originate as being well-intentioned, however including variety within your dietary pattern is incredibly beneficial. By having a diverse number of protein, carbohydrate and fat sources throughout the week, it exposes us to a variety of nutrient and fibre types that we would not achieve through (in this case) cream of rice with whey, blueberries, and dark chocolate alone.

The best part is, it's so simple! Literally just alternate your current food sources with new ones. For example, cream of rice for oatmeal, protein powder for high protein yogurt, blueberries for apples, dark chocolate for nut butter.
